HELP!! MENOPAUSE HAS HIT ME

In this article I aim to add strength to your skin, mind and body

Menopause can definitely be a challenging time. Between the hormonal changes, hot flushes, mood swings, sleep disruptions, and skin changes, it often feels like your body is pelting hail from the sky directed to you. And on top of that, the emotional toll can be just as exhausting.

However, you’re not alone in this, and while it can be a tough journey, there are ways to make it a little easier. Whether it's through skincare, lifestyle adjustments, or support from loved ones, small changes can help manage symptoms.

If your finding the skin changes and the hot flushes tough then here are a few types of ingredients and product types from Wild Nature Organic Skincare (or similar brands) that could help during menopause:

1. Hydrating Ingredients

  • Aloe Vera:Known for its soothing properties, aloe vera can help calm dry, irritated skin. Aloe Vera can help stimulate the production of hyaluronic acidin the skin, making it a powerful ingredient for enhancing moisture retention and promoting skin regeneration. While Aloe Vera doesn't directly contain hyaluronic acid, it has several properties that support the skin's ability to produce and retain moisture, including:

Aloe Vera is rich in polysaccharides, which are long-chain sugars that help draw and retain moisture in the skin. These polysaccharides are also known to support the skin's natural processes, including the stimulation of hyaluronic acid production.

Studies have shown that Aloe Vera helps to enhance skin hydration and cell regeneration, which indirectly supports the production of hyaluronic acid, a vital component of the skin's natural moisture retention system.

  • Natural Hyaluronic Acid: Aloe Vera & Natural Vitamin C enhances the production of hyaluronic acid in the skin and also improves skin elasticity. These ingredient are great for hydrating the skin and locking in moisture, which can be especially important as skin tends to become drier during menopause.

  • Calendula Oil, Evening Primrose, Avocado Oil, and Vitamins A and D: Are deeply nourishing, moisturising ingredient that help restore hydration and improve skin elasticity.

2. Balancing Essential Oils

  • Lavender: It has calming properties and may help reduce stress, which can be a trigger for some menopausal symptoms.
  • Rose& Geranium: Known for balancing hormones and promoting skin health, it can help with skin tone and elasticity.
  • Natural Vitamin A and E: This oil is known to promote healthy skin regeneration and can help with signs of aging like wrinkles.
  • ChamomileKnown for its calming and anti-inflammatory properties. Menopause can lead to hormonal changes that affect the skin, such as dryness, irritation, and increased sensitivity. Chamomile has natural anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce skin irritation and redness, which is common during menopause due to fluctuations in estrogen levels.

Chamomile may help lock in moisture and keep the skin hydrated. This is particularly important during menopause when skin tends to become drier due to hormonal changes.

Chamomile contains antioxidants, such as flavonoids, that can protect the skin from free radical damage, which could help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines associated with aging skin.

Some women may experience heightened skin sensitivity during menopause, and chamomile can help soothe sensitive skin and reduce reactions to other skin irritants or products.

3. Antioxidants

  • Vitamin C: Helps to combat the effects of aging, brightens skin, and promotes collagen production.
  • Vitamin E: Known for its moisturising and anti-inflammatory properties, it can help protect against oxidative stress.
